WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

FAQ: FAQ

WHAT IS YOUR WEATHER POLICY?

Weather is funny in New Orleans. We have a subtropical climate which brings us rain in very unpredictable ways. While the forecast might call for heavy rain one minute and turn out to be dry and sunny. For this reason, if there is severe weather we will call one hour before the tour is scheduled to leave to cancel or reschedule the tour.  This way we have the most accurate forecast since the weather here can change on a dime.

DO YOU RENT BIKES TOO?

Currently we are not offering bicycle rentals, but we will if we are able...it can't hurt to ask, but we can always steer you somewhere helpful. New Orleans Blue Bikes is a very good public bike sharing program with electric bikes.

DO YOU ALLOW KIDS TO JOIN THE TOUR?

Yes, kids are welcome on our all ages tours, I have a 5 year old who has been along tours since a baby and she is happy to share her old kid seats even for other babies.   We have children's bikes of all sizes for anyone comfortable on city streets and even have a tag-a-long if needed.

CAN WE BRING OUR PETS ON THE TOUR?

DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS AS PAYMENT?

No, if you have not paid in full online before the tour begins, our accepted forms of payment at the shop are cash, check and Venmo. However if you need to use a credit card, we can arrange payment by Paypal.

WHAT TYPE OF BIKES WILL WE BE RIDING?

We ride single speed, backpedal brake cruiser style bikes with large tires and comfy seats. If it doesn't feel like you're getting much of a workout, its because you're not. The combination of our flat city and our cruiser style bikes make for an fun, easy, and comfortable experience.

Can we show up hung over or with little to no sleep?

Yes, we have a lot of stories, we will be happy to add yours.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ON EACH TOUR?

We try to keep our tours fairly small. Typically, our tours max out between 8-10 people, depending on the tour. If you have a group of  10 or more, you're not out of luck. Depending on the tour and guide availability, we can sometimes send out a single party with more than 10 people or we can look into breaking your group into two or more separate tours.

WHAT LEVEL OF BIKING SKILLS ARE REQUIRED TO JOIN A BIKE TOUR?

You should definitely be very comfortable riding a bike in a city. If you can't ride a bike, we can't have you on our tours. We won't be moving fast and or riding off road. Plus, New Orleans is flat so it won't feel like a work out by any means. If its been a while since you've been on a bike but you know how to ride a bike, feel free to swing by our shop early and we'll let you get a feel for biking again.

No, it's just not as good of an idea as you think it would be. Trust us.
